Our first trip to the zoo! Virginia weather is so strange.. it is January and it’s warm
enough that we didn’t have to wear jackets to walk around outside for
hours. The zoo is only 40 minutes
away and this was our first family trip. David and I used to go to the DC zoo when we lived there, but I think I like this one
better! Less crowded and not quite
as big. Eli watched more people
that animals, but I think they might be a bit hard for him to see just yet—except
the giraffe- he saw those just fine! We purchased season passes so we will be able to go all year-
I know each time we go Eli will have a better time.
